In January 1990 I started working on a series of abstract paintings that I called Decade
numbered 1 through approximately 70-something. The Decade series became the
nearest thing I've ever had to a signature style.

With this one and a few others over the years I revertedback to a figurative style but
included the figurative element (very obvious here, sometimes more subtle) as part of an
overall abstract pattern.
